Words that Rhyme

Rhyming Word: The rhyming words sound the same at the end. That means they rhyme.

These are some ideas that you can use to help children to understand the concept of “Rhyming Words”

Say the rhyme Down by the Bay with your child/student.  Focus on the words that Rhyme and point these out to your child/student.  The children know that rhyming words are words that sound the same at the end, encourage them to help you find objects around the house that rhyme. Every time you read a story with your child/student, point out the words that rhyme.
