The Three Little Pigs Story
The story of The Three Little Pigs has many different versions and each story is written a little differently. Read aloud for enjoyment the Original version of The Three Little Pigs to your kids, but this is a different and fun way to tell the story.
Each student plays an important role in this activity. The characters for the story are: Mama Pig, Three Pigs, the Wolf, Narrator of the story/Spoker, and the musicians. In this way the entire class is participating!

The first little pig built his house out of straw because he was lazy. it was the easiest thing to do.
The second little pig built his house out of sticks. This was a little bit stronger than a straw house.
The third little pig built his house out of bricks.
One day the big bad wolf came along and saw the first little pig in his house of straw. He said “Let me in, Let me in, little pig or I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in!” “Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin”, said the little pig.
And he blow and he puffed and he put his house down… The first little pig ran off as fast as he could to the house of his brother who made his house out of sticks.
Another day the big bad wolf saw the second little pig in his house of sticks. He said “Let me in, Let me in, little pig or I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in!” “Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin”, said the little pig.
And he blow and he puffed and he put his house down…Then the first and second pig ran off as fast as they could to the house of his brother who made his house out of bricks.
Finally, the big bad wolf saw the third little pig in his house of bricks. He said “Let me in, Let me in, little pig or I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in!” “Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin”, said the little pig.
Well, the wolf huffed and puffed but he could not blow down that brick house. But the wolf was a clever wolf and he climbed up on the roof to look for a way into the brick house.
The three little pigs saw the wolf climb up on the roof and lit fire in the chimney and placed on it a large pot of water. When the wolf finally found the hole in the chimney he crawled down and splash right into that pot of water and that was the end of his troubles and the wolf was never seen again!

They learned their lesson ….And they just lived happily ever after!
You can complement the role play playing the song: “The Three Little Pigs Blues” by Michael Lewis and Greg Scelsa.
These are some “You Tube” places to see the performance of the song in different grade levels:
These are The Guitar Players, helping out with the song and rocking out with their guitars…
This is The Narrator of the story. Having fun with the lyrics…
