Brown Bear, Brown Bear what do you see? By Bill Martin Jr.
Bill Martin Jr. (the author) and Eric Carle (the illustrator)
This great book is full of repetitive pattern on very colorful pages. We meet a new animal who helps us determine which creature will show up next. The pre-readers can join in with the reader, easily predicting the next lines. For more ideas visit:

We had the collaboration of our school’s Librarian Mrs. Linda, who read the story and used a Felt Board for the characters of the story and a hand puppet for the Brown Bear. As she read the story, the child brought up the correct animals and put them on the felt board.
This is a collaborating way of reading stories where children can appreciate each animal, make there sounds and follow the sequence of events.
